DOUGLAS PEIRERA (BICICLETA SEM FREIO)
Contemporary artist and illustrator born 1984 and based in Goiania, in central Brazil.
He completed his visual art studies in the Faculdade de Artes Visuais, Universidade Federal de Goiás and founded the collective Bicicleta Sem Freio, alongside artist Renato Reno.
His visual language vibrantly mani-fests colors, forms and figurations that interrogate identity and its fluid nature.
His complex compositions feature many characters like wondrous children, portraiture, and ambiguous anthropomorphs that merge and interact with organic elements like local flora and fauna, site specific to the places he travels to create art.
Bicicleta Sem Freio is represented by global creative house Justkids.
